POLICE REFUSED TO GRANT LISSU BAIL

Police Force, the region of Dar es Salaam said that no chance for Lissu to be out after completing the interrogation in the central police station, writes Shabani Matutu.
Despite of efforts by various leaders of Chadema to help Lissu to be out, but the police refused, instead they rushed everyone who was in the area, including the journalists.
Some of the leaders of Chadema who came was Chairman Freeman Mbowe, Edward Lowassa and member of the central committee of the party, who joined by leaders and members of the party.
After arriving Lowassa, members and supporters of Chadema who were out of the office of the police began to sing a song to say, the president, president, president, including the famous slogan of Peoples power.
Immediately after his arrival he was received by Freeman Mbowe who was riding the same car with the Mayor of Kinondoni, Boniface Jacob who were out of the gate.
The leaders were prevented to go inside by the police, therefore they decided to disappear .
The leader who allowed to enter was the mayor of Dar es Salaam, Isaiah Mwita.
Speaking about it, Peter Kibatala the lawyer of Lissu has said that the interview between the army and the accused began at 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
"In the description of the police says that when Lissu coming out in court yesterday on his case supposedly uttered seditious words, but these all require proof," said Kibatala.
The lawyer says that after the police finish their interviews and being arranged to bail were rejected until tomorrow to the court. So we have arranged plan to give guarantee in the court tomorrow. said Kibatala
