Tanzania is awarded of Social Welfare and Women's participation in a meeting of the AU

The government of Tanzania has been given an award of 2 issues of Social Welfare as well as the inclusion of women in decision-making levels of government and various institutions in the 27th Conference of the African Union (AU) held recently Kigali in Rwanda.

That has been said today by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the South East ambassador, Augustine Mahiga, when he was speaking to journalists in Dar es Salaam on matters discussed at the meeting of 27 of the Union of African countries recently held in Kigali in Rwanda.

"Tanzania has been recognized by the AU as a country that for 15 years has grown to a multi-national strategies to focus on women's rights and the fulfillment of the Millennium goals," said Ambassador Mahiga
He added that Tanzania is among the top five countries in Africa that have been given the awards.

In another development, Ambassador Mahiga amasema be at the summit of 27 African leaders discussed various matters including African passport (passport), which will enable the people of that continent travel in all African countries.

Ambassador Mahiga added that the aim to use the travel document for African countries is to provide barriers that existed during the visit and travel within the country.

In addition, Ambassador Maiga said that, given the passport of the African Union and a symbol of solidarity, have started to release those documents to the Heads of Government of the countries that attended the conference. Those documents will be used to comply with the laws of each country.

Likewise, the meeting discussed the conflicts of Burundi and South Sudan where leaders agreed to send a force of African Union Mission in South Sudan in order to separate the two forces fought developing country.

In addition, the crisis in Burundi is still ongoing resolved due to the ongoing efforts made by various former President Benjamin Mkapa, who was appointed earlier this year by leaders of the East African Community.

Meeting of the 27 African Union countries with 54 members was held in Kigali in Rwanda on 18 this month, while it is the second meeting of this year grew by stating in the slogan of human rights.
