The former prime minister who ran for president through
Chadema and supported by Ukawa, in a general election last year, Edward
Lowassa, said the police force is working badly. That statement was announced
yesterday, Mbarali district in Mbeya, while was addressing the meeting out of
the Hall of Lutheran. That meeting was attended to be conducted in that hall
but the police shut the door!
Lowassa who is also a member of the Central
Committee of Chadema, urged the citizens to remain calm and not make a mess after
the police to prevent the meeting. "Men continue to be vigilant, police
blocked the meeting which is legitimate, do not disturb any instructions but
accept as leaders speaking, I will come back another day, very sorry for the
discomfort you felt.
"I say the police force is used badly, CCM has
decided to break the multi-party democracy and the law no 5, 1992 of the
establishment of pluralism," said Lowassa. The conference was blocked by
police, who locked the door with a key at 5:40 yesterday morning and to prevent
the hundreds of citizens and members of Chadema from entering in to listen from
Lowassa When Lowassa arrived at the scene, he found himself stuck to hold a
meeting that had been scheduled there after finding the policemen led by the
Chief of Police at Mbarali District (OCD), L. Muhaji who shut the venue for the
locks.
