Staff of the Board of Credit for students of universities
(HELSB) and colleges who were also involved to facilitate payment of lending
money to students who are not there. The
minister commanded them to take strict legal action to restore the money taken
by the students. That has been said today in Dar es Salaam by the Minister of
Education, Science and Technology Hon.
Joyce Ndalichako."In view of the
findings, the government has taken steps including universities which taken the
money illegally to students who are not colleges should revert those funds
within seven days from today," she said. Also colleges should set a good
system to store records of students from the registry, the tests results and
the exams and account numbers of bank lending, and the money that paid is to remove
deception.
"The board of the credit should immediately analyze and
incorporate all changes reported as credited students from colleges in order to
avoid repayment of money for students who do not deserve it," she said
