ELIZABETH Asenga (40), a resident of Dar es Salaam has led
to court at Kisutu today for allegedly writing blasphemous words against
President John Magufuli via the social network of What's App, writes Faki Sosi.
When Leonard Chalu was reading her charges, an attorney of
the government, before Magistrate Huruma Shahidi, that mother allegedly
committed the act that is contrary to the Offences Act of Network of 2015
Chalu the lawyer claimed that, on August 6 this year, the
suspect wrote on the Internet of what's App message that says;
"... Our President kilaza
like this, look gives Lissu umashaghuli
...he is a fala. First if you
put his photo in your office is curse all the day, your day becomes unfortunate
beginning has an end."
However, the accused Elizabeth, has denied the charges,
while an attorney claiming that the investigation of this advice is still
incomplete.
The defendant was granted bail with two sureties with
conditions requiring each person must sign a document of 3 million shillings.
The trial was adjourned and expects to be mentioned again on
22 September this year.
